Imphal, October 19 2024: Taking serious note of the press release issued by the Rong-mei Naga Youth Organi- sation Manipur (RNYOM) and published in media on October 19 which directed all Kom people to leave Rong-mei jurisdiction within 48 hours, the Kom Union Manipur (KUM) has urged the RNYOM to withdraw the same directive (quit notice) in the larger interest of all the communities living in Manipur.

KUM is shocked and anguished by the press statement issued by RNYOM, it said in a press release.

It added that they (KUM) have no knowledge of the matter/issue between Ichum Kom village and the Rongmei community.
