Imphal, January 07 2025: The Zeliangrong Union (AMN) has greeted the people ahead of the Gaan-Ngai festival which will be celebrated from January 12 to 17 .

Gaan-Ngai, one of the largest festivals of the Zeliangrong people, is a post harvest celebration.

The festival heralds the end of the old year and arrival of the New Year.

Wishing for the festival to bring peace, prosperity and integrity in Manipur, the ZU (AMN) meanwhile appealed to all civil society organisations and UG groups to avoid imposing any kind of bandh, blockade during the festival (from January 12 to 17) in the interest of the Zeliangrong people.
