Imphal, April 13 2025: The Young Kuki has responded to the allegations of the Foothill Naga Joint Action Committee (FNJAC) regarding land claims.

Notably, the FNJAC had, in a press release issued yesterday, urged armed Kuki individuals or groups to refrain from operating in 'Southern Nagalim' .

In a statement, the Young Kuki said that they have consistently advocated peaceful dialogue and responsible engagement when it comes to the land dispute between Konsaram/Konsa-khul and its surrounding villages.

Saying that the assertions and threats made by the FNJAC are baseless and a deliberate attempt to distort historical facts to provoke unnecessary conflict, the Young Kuki added that the Liangmai community must provide credible evidence of land ownership if they wish to validate their claims.

Further stating that they will not be deterred by intimidation or falsehood, the Young Kuki asserted that any attempt to encroach upon, seize or misrepresent their land will be met with appropriate and measured response.
