Imphal, September 06: Security forces have apprehended seven activists of different armed organisations in the last three days. A statement issued by SP (IE) Th Radheshyam Singh said two KCP cadres - namely Naorem Lakshman alias Ibungo Singh (20) s/o (L) N Ibocha Singh of Chabung Company in Mayang Imphal and Oinam Ibomcha alias Kumar Singh (32) s/o (L) O Chinglen of Khuman Lampak bus terminus was netted by the district's police commandos at around 6 am today from Kongba Chanam Leikai.

Lakshman is informed to have joined KCP organisation through one S/S Sgt Purnima Devi of Moreh in May, 2006 with Ibomcha joining the banned organisation through Lakshman last month.

A combined team of IE commandos and 32 AR arrested two cadres of the PREPAK from Kongba Bazar today, the SP said while identifying the two as Sapam Bigyananda alias Bulbul (21) s/o S Shamo Singh of Bashikhong Kitna Panung and Thangjam Imoba (25) s/o Th Nobintomba of Yaingangpokpi Makha Leikai.Bigyananda and Imoba respectively joined the banned outfit in June and July this year through one Thouna of Bashikhong.

Last evening Imphal East police commandos arrested a UNLF cadre - namely Sanjenbam Apabi Singh (37) s/o (L) S Babu Singh of Sambei Makha Leikai from Lamlong Bazar.

Apabi joined UNLF in 2007 through one Wanglen and was involved in extortion of money from the general public and Govt officials in addition to providing shelter to 'many UNLF cadre' and collecting information about movement of security forces, the SP maintained.

Another PREPAK cadres was nabbed by a combined team of IE police commandos and troops of 32 Assam Rifles at around 11 am yesterday from Singjamei Kshetri Leikai, the statement informed while identifying the captive as one Pebam Naocha alias Kokoba Singh (24) s/o (L) P Amutombi of Singjamei Kshetri Leikai.

Having joined PREPAK in June 1997 through one Mr Foreign of Uyumpok and trained at Keibul Pat under the command of S/S Corporal Jepan in the 25th batch, Naocha reportedly confessed of being involved in the killing of three innocent persons of Heirok in March this year along with two other associates namely S/S L/Cpl Naoji of Kumbi and S/S L/Cpl Sidaba of Haobam Marak.

The district's commandos along with 32 AR also apprehended a KYKL cadre identified as Thingbaijam Soborson alias Nanao alias Captain alias Lucky Meitei (34) s/o Th Khomdonbi of Top Awang Leikai from the same locality at around 1 am of September 4, the SP said.

Soborson joined the armed group in July, 2006 through one Dine of Sagolband Moirang Hanuba, who is the S/S commander in-charge of Imphal West.
