Imphal, August 24: To draw the attention of the United Nations and the international community to the decades old armed struggle for sovereignty and to convince the UN to allow the KCP to represent the people's political rights and aspirations and to recognise the armed conflict as a legitimate struggle against India, the proscribed outfit has claimed that it has submitted a 106 paged memorandum to the Secretary General of the UN through the Nepal UN based office.

In a statement, self styled chief project officer cum secretary of information and public relations of the outfit, Ibungo Ngangom said that the memorandum was signed by Ningambam Senjam (chairman of politburo), Pritambhor Mangangcha (deputy chairman of politburo), Ibungo Ngangom himself (politburo member), Ibocha Meetei (member of politburo) and Angamba Meetei (member of politburo).

The deputy secretary of the foreign affairs department, Loyanganba Meetei is also contacting the UN headquarters through the internet that the outfit is notified of the procedure by signing necessary papers to get the KCP recognised by the UN, claimed the statement further.

To nullify the process of Indianisation started after Manipur was annexed on October 15, 1949, the KCP has also that its politburo has passed an act by the name of the Anti-Indianisation Act which imposes a ban on activities which are instruments of the Indianisation process, said the outfit.

Towards this end, the outfit has put a complete ban on Nehru Yuva Kendra, teaching of lessons where India is projected as 'our country' Indian leaders as 'our leaders' Indian festivals as 'our festivals'.

A ban has also been imposed on the recruitment of cadet for NCC from any schools or colleges, said the outfit and warned that any heads of institutions who defy this will be punished.

A ban on Hindi films was also announced by the outfit.

The National Students Union of India has also been banned permanently for participating in the Independence day celebration, it added and warned the leaders of the student body to contact them.

The outfit has also urged the students of MU to remain students and not to act or behave like Indian politicians and also appealed to all revolutionary organisations to make MU a free zone.

Accusing some individuals of anti-social and anti-revolutionary activities, KCP said it has expelled them from Manipur for two years from September 5, 2008.The individuals, all from Samaram Laibung Leikai are identified as N Bihari SIngh, Ng Manidhaja Singh, Kh Bihari Singh, N Bhagirot Singh, A Brojen Singh, N Tomba Singh, U Leiyon Singh and N Dhabali Singh.

Failure to comply will invite drastic action.

The outfit also appealed to the people not to encourage or help pseudo revolutionaries and added that if any monetary demand is served in the KCP the people may contact [email protected].

Meanwhile reacting to the statement of Lamphel Luwangcha, Ibungo Ngangom said the allegations of Lamphel did not contain a grain of truth.

Lamphel himself is a deserter and has no right to call himself a member of the KCP.

At present Lamphel is in Guwahati and extorting money from the public in the name of the outfit, it charged and urged the people to help them eliminate Lamphel and his men.

Regarding KCP (MC), the, Ibungo claimed that they have completed preliminary round of investigation and added that they have come to know that it was formed in August 2007 under the leadership of Lanheiba.

However soon the KCP (MC) broke up into three groups led by Lanheiba, Mangoljao and Lallumba.

Three individuals are also operating from inside Sajiwa jail, claimed Ibungo and identified them as Th Nando deputy commandant of Lallumba group, Devan alias Arnold alias Taibangnganba, finance officer of Mangoljao group ad Chalamba alias Leishemba Luwang a henchman of Lamphel.

A detailed report will be published once the final investigation is over, it added.
