75th Republic Day celebrated widely across State

Bpr/CCpur/Chd/Jbm/Kak/Kpi/Non/Phz/Spi/Tml/Tpl/Tbl/Ukl, January 27 2024: The State joined the Nation in celebrating the 75th Republic Day yesterday.

Unfurling the National flag and holding of march past competitions of contingents representing different Government Departments were the main highlight of the celebrations held across the different districts across the State.

The employees of various Government Departments were also honoured during these celebrations for their outstanding services.

Bishnupur
The district level celebration was organised by the District Administration, Bishnupur at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

Speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Lourembam Bikram highlighted various achievements and successful implementation of various schemes of both the Central and State Government in the district.

The State in general and Bishnupur district in particular had been going through an unprecedented crisis since the last eight and half months, he said.

The DC appreciated the District Police led by the Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur and Central Security forces for their tremendous efforts in safeguarding the life and property of the general public and in restoration of normalcy in the district.

He also lauded the District Veterinary Office and said that through their prompt action they were able to stop the African Swine Fever outbreak in the district.

He appreciated the efforts of the members of the Camp Level Committees who are managing the relief camps being operated in the district with 8800 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) taking refuge in these camps.

Churachandpur
The District Administration, Churachandpur celebrated the Republic Day at Peace Ground, Tuibong.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Dharun Kumar S complimented the achievements and contributions of various departments and offices in the district.

Stating that the district is housing the highest number of IDPs in 114 relief camps, he maintained that the compassionate management of the relief camps has been crucial in instilling hope and resilience among the affected individuals and families, he added.

He appealed to the CSOs and people of the district to provide their continued support to the District Administration in striving for a developed district.

Chandel
The celebration was organized by the District administration Chandel at Maha Union Hr Sec School Ground at Japhou.

As a part of the celebration a road safety demonstrations were also shown by traffic control, district transport department During the programme, Village Chiefs were honoured with red blankets and officers, staff and security personnel and retired employees of various departments were honoured for their devotion and outstanding performance in discharging their duties.

Jiribam
As celebrated widely across the State, the District Administration Jiribam organised the celebration at Jiribam Higher Secondary playground where the DC Krishna Kumar, IAS recalled the sacrifices made by the forefathers for the well-being of the Nation and also lauded the sincere efforts of the Government employees in the district towards the developmental process.

Kakching
The District Administration, Kakching celebrated the 75th Republic Day at the Deputy Commissioner Office complex, Kakching.

The celebration began with the DC Kakching Somorjit Salam, IAS inspecting the parade and unfurling the National flag.

Kangpokpi
The District Administration Kangpokpi organised the main event of the celebration at the DC's Office complex.

Addressing as the chief guest, DC Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, highlighted the activities taken up in the district in the past 6-7 months.

Taking the opportunity, he thanked all the Government department officials for working hard for the district and encouraged them to continue in the future too.

An exhibition was also held as a part of the celebration where inmates of different relief centres of four sub-divisions namely Saitu Gamphazol, Saikul, Champhai and Kangpokpi opened stalls displaying products made by them.

Noney
Noney district witnessed the 75th Republic Day Celebration amid tight security at Longmai III common ground, Noney District Headquarters.

Speaking at the occasion, DC Noney Joseph Pauline Kamson underscored the numerous potential aspects for faster all round development of the district.

He also cited the various developmental projects taken up in the district.

Pherzawl
The District Administration, Pherzawl celebrated the 75th Republic Day at Pherzawl District Headquarters where DC Asish Das called upon the people to uphold the constitutional values and work towards building a better India for all.

Senapati
The Republic Day celebration held at Sanyi Dahrii Memorial Sports Complex, Khabung Karong, Senapati witnessed the presentation of achievements and ongoing projects in the district by DC Mamoni Doley, IAS, march past competitions followed by award distribution ceremony to the District Administration employees for their outstanding performances.

Tamenglong
The District Administration, Tamenglong celebrated the Republic Day at Mini Stadium Lower Ground, Tamenglong Headquarters under the theme Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and Bharat Loktantra Ki Matruka (India - Mother of Democracy) .

Tengnoupal
March past parade by different contingents and showcasing of cultural performances marked the Republic Day celebration held at the office complex of the DC office complex, Tengnoupal organised by the District Administration.

Thoubal
DC Thoubal Ahanthem Subhash Singh highlighted the progress and achievements in the district through collaborative efforts of the District Administration and the people while speaking at the Republic Day event held at the Mini Secretariat complex.

Ukhrul
Vibrant display of cultural shows, musical performances and Republic Day parade were the main events of the celebration held at Bakshi Ground Hungpung, Ukhrul with DC Kengoo Zuringla gracing as the chief guest.
