Rainwater harvesting system installed

Imphal, January 27 2024:
In a significant step towards environmental sustainability, Assam Rifles, through its civic action programme initiated the installation of a rainwater harvesting system at Moyon Khullen village in Tengnoupal district.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that this transformative project, a part of AR's commitment to community welfare and environmental stewardship, includes installation of two plastic water tanks (1000 litre each) and a rainwater harvesting system with a storage capacity of 2000 litre.
The rainwater harvesting system aims to address water scarcity challenges in the Moyon Khullen village by efficiently collecting and storing rainwater, the release added.
