The Immanuel Theological Seminary (ITS) Christian Centre, Chiulon today held the 8th graduation programme at Bethel Baptist Church, Tamenglong with Rev Dr Nuh, General secretary of CNBC as speaker.
The seminary was able to produce 76 graduate students since the establishment of the seminary in 2000 .
The lone bible college in Tamenglong district is run by regular donation from 23 local churches per month under the aegis of Zeliangrong Baptist Churches Council, ZBCC Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and donors from private individuals and students sponsors.
This year has nine students sponsored by different individuals.
They are Keirungba sponsoring six students, RK Ragaisin, CEO ADC sponsoring four students and Guitiu Gangmei Chairman Duigailong Village Authority, KP Kamiuthuan, PO DRDA Tamenglong, Namthiurei Daimei, Principal Tamenglong Collage, Rathaipou Riamei, Registrar ITS, Asenbou Newmei, Bethel Baptist Church and Gaithaoliu,Akhiama and Agiang sponsoring one students each to complete the course of Bachelor degree of theology.
'Immanuel Theological Seminary belongs to none but it was run by everyone, we are running the seminary by peoples' contributions and prayer support', said GN Kumuiteung, M.Th, principal of the ITS.
He also said that the main objective of the seminary was to impart right Christian's doctrines to the young boys and girls so that they may not confuse and not fall into the false doctrines.
Every religious has its own believe that there is one God.
Some religious are liberal and allow to creeps in our uncompromised covenant, it trends to creates division among God' people adding that the Christian believers tend to give more attention and respect to the rich people than the religious leaders.
He also asked to give maximum cooperation to continue to run the seminary.
In the meantime, while talking to the reporter one of the student sponsor KP Kamiuthon, PO DRDA Tamenglong said that he had sponsored three students since the establishment of the seminary in 2000.In one course he had spend around Rs.10000 per course.
He urged all the passing out graduates to work enthusiastically for their society instead of wasting their time and energies in doing nothing.
He also asked the parents and guidance of the passing out students to direct them to work and help them to seek their job adding that they can work for the drugs abusers and other anti social elements.
He also appeal the ITS to give a chance for the people who wants to go M Div degree course in the seminary through correspondent.
During the 8th graduation who complete bachelor today out of nine students, the best discipline student was given to Chunthuiliu Pamei of Taodaijang village, Isaac Gangmei of Duigailong and Gaichuang Panmei of Chramram village was awarded best preacher and excellent in academic.
