Storm that strike back again last night blew away hundreds of house and other structure in various parts of the state rendering many homeless.
Many trees were also uprooted, reports from various source said.
MLAs and panchayat members conducted visits at the affected houses in their respective places and extended assistances.
The high velocity storm swept away several house and structures at Oinam area.
MLA of Oinam Assembly Dr I Ibohanbi along with the DC Bishnupur district, K Panmei and SDO A Valentina inspected the affected households today.
The visited Nambol Sabal Leikai, Oinam Mamang Leikai, Maning Leikai Kabui Khun, Awang Heinoubok and Leimaram area where stormed have blew roofing materials of several houses apart from razing some of them.
Many trees in the areas were also uprooted by the strong wind swept around the midnight.
During the visit, the MLA apart from extending helps to the affected families also assured of assistance that he will pressed government authorities to extend reliefs to them.
The storm has also caused damages to around 60 homsteads at Lairenjam, Mekola and Hiyangthang area.
Around 10 more houses including a government lower primary school were blew away by the strong wind, reports said.
Under the initiative of the MLA RK Anand, 15 bags of rice were distributed to the affected families.
He also extended Rs 500 each to the families.
Social workers Ngangbam Robindro of Keirao also extended assistances to the victim families of storm at Keirao area today.
The revisit strong wind also caused damages to several houses in Haoreibi area in Imphal west and adjoining area of Thoubal district.
