MoS Minority Affairs visits Senapati

Senapati, January 24 2025:
Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurian visited Senapati and inspected various institutions and project sites in the district with Deputy Commissioner Mamoni Dole today, During the visit, he inspected Model Residential School at Taphou Naga, Senapati District Hospital, multi-purpose parking lot and the Model Anganwadi Centre at Rikhumai Taphou among others.
He also interacted with some village chiefs.
Later, the Union Minister chaired a review meeting with the Districts Level Officers on the implementation of Central flagship programmes and policies in the district at the conference of Senapati DC office.
He also reviewed progress reports of various departments during the meeting apart from discussing several key pertaining to the implementation of projects under various Central schemes.
In the meeting, George Kurian conveyed the commitment of the Prime Minister to develop North East India.
He also applauded the district administration of Senapati for their services to the people.
Information and transformation should go together hand in hand, he added.
The Union Minister took stock of the implementation of various schemes and projects such as PMJAY, PMMVY, PM JANMAN, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Poshan Abhiyan, AAY, PHH, PM Poshan Scheme, JJM, PMAY-G, and Skill Developments etc.
He also reviewed various activities taken up by departments like MSPDCL, PWD, PHED, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Fisheries and others in regards of road connectivity, tap water connection, electricity connection, literacy rate, SHG in the district.
The meeting was attended by Senapati DC Mamoni Doley, SP Anupam, ADC Rang David Kung, DFO Shanngam S, CEO/ ADC Adahrii Maheo among other DLOs.
