Imphal, November 16 2024: Federation of Civil Societies Organisation (FOGS) Kangleipak along with its constituent bodies, have demanded the state government to declare the 10 Kuki MLAs, militant groups and CSOs like ITLF and CoTU as 'terrorists'.

Addressing a press meet at the office premises of Manipur Women's Federation at Kakwa Boroi Makhong here on Saturday, FOGS president Th Manihar said that the abduction of six innocent civilians and subsequent murder of the hostages is an act of terrorism.

"While recovery of three bodies have been confirmed, the fate of the remaining three is unknown," he said and decried the state and Central governments for turning a blind eye to the situation.

The 10 Kuki MLAs, militant groups and organisations like ITLF and CoTU have been spearheading the campaign to disintegrate the state and targeting civilians over and over again.

As such, the government should take up necessary steps to declare them as terrorists," he said, demanding the remaining 50 MLAs to declare their final decision within 24 hours.

Manihar further demanded the government to deport the illegal Chin-Kuki-Zo immigrants by conducting NRC and bring to justice the Kuki terrorists responsible for the terror attacks in Jakuradhor and murder of the hostages.

While demanding an immediate halt to political parties' membership enrolment drives, he called upon all the CSOs in the state to come together and take the fight forward on a common agenda.
