Imphal, June 09 2010:
Three persons died and seven other injured in separate incidents occurred in different parts of the state today.
In an head on collision accident between a van (MN-01W-5527) and a 407 mini tata (MN-04A-8057) at Khunutu Chingchin under Kakching police station at about 9 am, two persons died.
In the accident five people including four women sustained injuries.
The two deceased persons were identified as Jilkhomang Haokip (47) son of Sakhothang Haokip of Sinam village and Lumkhogam Haokip (20) son of Semjathang Haokip, same village with the former.
Lumkhogam was the driver of the van in which victim Jilkhomang and other injured persons were all from Sinam village boarding together in the vehicle.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to the RIMS Hospital Imphal were they attended medical treatments.
Kakching police seized the 407 mini tata.
A motorcyclist died when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a tata magic in front of the Lilong Higher Secondary School today, at about 8.30 am.
The pillion rider sustained serious injuries.
The youth died in the accident was identified Md Ibomcha alias Amu (15) son of Md alluddin of Lilong Kaleikhong Makha.
The injure pillion rider was identified as Md Sadam (15) son of Md Abo of Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai.
The two youths, who passed HSLC exam in the recently declared exam results, were coming towards Standard Robert English School to collect admission forms.
Seriously injured Sadam has been admitted at Shija Hospital.
On the other hand, a man was electrocuted today while he trying to pump out flood water from his courtyard with an electric pump at his house at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak at about 11.30 am.
Moirangthem Loken (27) son of Tomchou of Khangabok Makha Leikai was presently staying the house of one Takhellambam Amusana of Keishamthong Hotham Leirak.
