MLA Nishikant reaches out to successful students, candidates

Imphal, May 06 2026: Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam felicitated those who cleared the recent Manipur Civil Service (MCS) examination, as well as position holders of the Class XII (COHSEM) examination from his Constituency today.

During the ceremony held at his residence at Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai, he urged the youth to work hard, maintain discipline, and pursue their goals with consistency and commitment to achieve success in whatever field they choose.

The individuals felicitated today were Vivek Konjengbam of Keishampat Mutum Leikai (36th rank in the MCS exam), Albert Sanabam of Keishampat Top Leirak (59th rank in the MCS), Wahengbam Alex of Kwakeithel Moirang Purel (67th rank in the MCS exam), Pebam Taibanganba Mangang of Kwakeithel Moirang Purel (2nd position in Class XII Science stream), Glory Gurumayum of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai (5th position in Class XII Arts stream), and Mutum Upendra of Keishampat Mutum Leikai (recipient of the International Theatre Award presented by the Art and Culture Forum, New Delhi).

Congratulating them, the MLA noted that clearing ah examination is a significant step for a student, but apart from academic knowledge, discipline and politeness are essential to becoming successful in life.

Arrogance can ruin a career in the long run, Nishikant said.

Achieving success on the first attempt is rare in every field, he said and emphasised that failures form the foundation of success.

He appealed to all youth not to lose heart when they encounter setbacks in their endeavours, but to remain confident and give their best effort at all times.

Blessings come to those who work hard, he said.

The MLA also said that the support of teachers and parents is crucial in shaping students' success.

He urged the youth to value communication skills and always have confidence.

Saying that students performing well in examinations is a matter of pride for their parents too, he advised the youngsters not to become arrogant when success comes, but to set higher goals and work diligently to achieve them.

He also urged those who cleared the MCS examination to work sincerely and serve the people with dedication.

The MLA, meanwhile, stated that 200 solar lamps will be provided for Keishamthong under MANIREDA, and they will be installed in areas selected after consulting the residents.
