Imphal, June 05: In total contradiction to the Naga People's Organisation (NPO), the Kuki Youth Federation, Senapati District branch today claimed that Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district Nidhi Kesarwani is an upright person and an able administrator.

On the other hand, the NPO had already served an ultimatum demanding transfer of the DC from Senapati district by June 7 .

A press release issued by the Kuki Youth Federation asserted that it is wrong for some people to demand transfer of district level officers when these officers did not act in line with their wishes.

When many anti-social elements are operating in Senapati district, it would pose greater difficulty to take up NREGS properly and anew.

Observing that the demand of the NGO is irrational, the federation asked for withdrawal of the same.

It further maintained that the people should not go at the whim of some handful of people.

It also cautioned that any move on the part of the Government to transfer the IAS who has been in the district not more than five districts will lead to unwanted consequences.
