Imphal, May 17 2022: Tungee Yaifanaba Shemba Kanglup and family of the deceased jointly observed the first death anni versary of author professor Jodhachandra Sanasam at Manipur Press Club here on Monday.

The observance was attended by 6th Bn Manipur Rifles assistant commandant L Kujeshwar, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Manipur language advisory board convenor Nongmaithem Kirankumar, MU dean (Humanities) professor Nahakpam Aruna and Manipur University of Culture assistant professor Mankhomani Mongshaba as presidium members.

Those attending the tribute event recalled the contribution of professor Jodhachandra Sanasam to development of Manipuri literature.

A poetry session dedicated to Jodhachandra was also conducted as a part of the observance.
