Thoubal, April 13 2025: People for Animals in collaboration with VPet World, Thoubal along with local club-organizations of various localities of Thoubal district administered antirabies vaccination shots to around 500 cats and dogs of the district.

L Bishwajeet Meitei, Managing Trustee, People for Animals Manipur in a release said that the antirabies vaccination camp was organised at places like Thoubal Sabantongba Mayai Leikai, Awang Leikai, Ukhongsang, Thoubal Nepra, Wanjing SK, Wangkhei Leikai, Khongjom Chingtham and Thoubal Wangmataba in view of the alarming rabies cases in the State.

"If anyone is bitten by a dog or a cat, they must immediately rush to a nearby health centre and take antirabies vaccine shots" said, Bishnwajit.

He stated that such camps will also be organised in the future, and urged the people to not kill the dogs because of fear of the rabies disease.
