CRPF extends aids, holds medical camp, MELA

152 Bn CRPF under aegis of Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Tairenpokpi under Lamsang police station in Imphal West on Tuesday during which 34 water storage tanks were distributed to the needy people of the area.
152 Bn commandant Love Kumar, who attended the programme as chief guest, highlighted the inherent spirit of the Civic Action Programme as a welfare measure for local people, bridging the gap between the forces and civilians and an attempt to bring a qualitative change in the life of the local public.
He stressed that CRPF is committed to its social obligations and will continue to carry out similar Civic Action Programmes in the future and will make all efforts towards bringing an improvement in the life of local people.
Similarly, under the aegis of M&N Sector CRPF IG Dr Vipul Kumar and supervision of Churachandpur Range DIG Sanjay Kumar, 58 Bn CRPF, Kangvai organised a medical camp at New Zalenphei village on Tuesday as part of its Civic Action Programme.
Nearly 200 patients from Zalenphei, Matijang, Teijang, Pengjang, Torbung bazar, K Kwatlian, S Kwatlian and T Mungjang were screened for treatment and medicines distributed free of cost.
Meanwhile, on January 5, 87 Bn CRPF under its commandant Tapan Kumar organised a "MELA" at HQ location Uchathol, Jiribam with the programme inaugurated by Jiribam deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar in the presence of officers of security forces deployed in the district.
The programme was also attended by Jiribam SP Kh Robinsun Singh, 7th IRB commandant Seemi Ramror, officers from Assam Rifles and other department along with the locals.
