National Integration Tour flagged in at Koirengei

The National Integration Tour (NIT) for 20 students from Imphal East district, culminated in a grand ceremony held at Koirengei on Saturday.
According to a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing), the tour, aimed at fostering national unity and promoting cultural understanding, was flagged in by General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division.
The 10-days tour provided an enriching experience of visiting and experiencing the rich heritage of Delhi, Agra and Lucknow, offering an enriching, cultural and educational journey.
Key highlights of the tour included an exclusive interaction with the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi; visits to the iconic Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri.
Students also visited the premier Indian Army institutions, the Army Airborne Training School and the 11 Gorkha Regimental Recruitment Center.
During the reception ceremony held at Koirengei, the GOC emphasised the transformative power of travel in broadening perspectives and enriching knowledge.
The students shared their joyful and awe-inspiring stories, reflecting the profound impact of the tour.
The initiative exemplified the Indian Army's unwavering commitment to guiding the youth toward understanding India's rich cultural diversity and integrating them into the national fabric, fostering a strong sense of unity and pride for the motherland.
