Imphal, July 12 2025: Marking the World Population Day, Assam Rifles organised a series of community-focused events designed to raise awareness about family planning, population issues and the path towards sustainable development.

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), engaging sessions were held in Sehlon and Phoilen villages, where speakers highlighted the vital importance of family planning, population control and healthy lifestyles.

These sessions resonated with the local audience, offering practical advice and inspiring families to make informed choices for their future.

The spirit of the occasion was further amplified by awareness rallies held in New Samtal, Old Samtal, Kovang, Sehlon and Aibol Joupi villages.

Local dignitaries joined the marches, lending their voices to innovative awareness drives filled with spirited slogans and calls to embrace healthy living, the statement said.

The rallies underscored the role of responsible family planning in building a stronger nation and a brighter tomorrow.

It further informed that the poster campaigns brought the message to the heart of each village, sparking conversations and encouraging reflection among community members.

Assam Rifles personnel played a pivotal role, sharing valuable insights and information, and emphasising the importance of informed decision-making and responsible family planning practices, it added.
