Lions clubs extend relief aids to flood victims

Imphal, July 07 2025: In response to the devastating floods across the state last month, Lions clubs of Manipur region under Lions Club International District 322D extended support to 495 families comprising 2,475 flood-affected internally displaced persons in Bishnupur district.

The distribution of essential relief materials was made possible through an emergency grant from the Lions Club International Foundation.

Relief items distributed included rice, cooking oil, salt, potatoes, pulses and packaged drinking water.

Following up on its earlier relief drives held on July 3 arid 4, Lions clubs of Manipur provided aid to 523 beneficiaries at Utlou relief camp, 130 at Thambalmarik College in Oinam, 290 at Bishnupur Old DC Complex, 250 at Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong, 451 at Phubala High School, 370 at Khuyol Market and 459 at Okshongbung Birachandra High School.
