Imphal, October 19 2024: A one-day free health camp was jointly organised by Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), All Clubs of Laphupat Tera, Khordak, Arong, and Nongmakhong, in collaboration with Shija Academy of Health Sciences, Langol, at the Laphupat Tera Khunou Community Hall, Imphal West on Saturday.

A total of 542 patients received free consultations from Shija Academy of Health Sciences specialists across a range of specialties, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, ENT, Dermatology, and Dentistry.

Free medications were distributed to the patients, along with immediate treatment and guidance for further care.

The collaborative effort demonstrated Shija Academy of Health Sciences on going commitment to improving community health and reaching underserved populations in Manipur.

"The success of the camp highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare services and the positive impact such initiatives have on public health," a press release informed.
