Three held with stolen LPG, duck

In two separate incidents detected during early morning patrols, teams from the Community Police Centre, New Bazar detained three individuals on suspicion of theft and drug use.
Around 4:30 am, a police patrol spotted a man carrying a duck in a suspicious manner near the New Bazar market.
He was detained for verification and later identified as Hauminthang (24) s/o Waithang of Mata Dam.
During questioning, he admitted to stealing the duck from his neighbour.
The owner, Niangjoichin of Sehken village, was contacted and the stolen duck returned to her, while the accused has handed over to City Churachandpur police station for further legal action.
In another operation around 4:45 am, a patrol team intercepted two individuals behaving suspiciously with a half-filled LPG cylinder in the Nute Bazaar area.
Upon verification, the duo identified themselves as Jangminlun (34), s/o of Sokhai of Khomunnom (Singhat), and Henry Jefferson (18), s/o Mangkhothang of Pisgah (Tuibuong).
Upon preliminary investigation it came to light that the LPG cylinder belonged to Pastor LS Paul Hangmi, director of LifeLine Rehabilitation Centre (LRC).
The cylinder Was subsequently returned to the owner and the two handed over to City Churachandpur police station for further legal action.
