Imphal, September 13 2016: Celebrity stylist and designer Robert Naorem has announced that Robert Naorem Studio and Academy will be inaugurated at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai on September 24 with a glittering fashion event wherein Femina Miss India 2016 Priyadarshini Chatterjee will be the show stopper.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai, Robert said that the event would be the first ever road show of the State.

Stating that Tulsi Motor's Aprila SR 150 scooter would be launched at the event, Robert said that six models from outside the State and 14 Manipuri models would sizzle the ramp.

He said that the choreographer of the show is from Bhutan and a DJ from outside the State would also be invited for the event.

The 40-minute programme would witness his 100 collections, Robert said and added that Tulsi Motors is the show's main sponsor.

Contending that auditions for male models were held today, Robert said that men's wear would be mainly showcased this time.

However, there are many women's clothings as well, he added.

Saying that his academy would offer a make-up course apart from designing courses, Robert said that his plan is to introduce an academically oriented fashion college having affiliation to a University.

Both men's and women's wear of his own designs would be available at affordable prices at his studio, Robert said.

Revealing that his studio cum academy has been set up with his own earnings Robert said that there is no partnership and nobody has invested to his new endeavour.

Robert said that he along with guest faculties from outside the State would take classes at his academy.

He said that his friend Rex Thokchom had supported him a lot in making his dream of launching a studio cum academy a reality.

Tulsi Motors General Manager Soubam Deepu was also present at the press conference.
