Bajpai said MANITEX 2025 served as a platform for State weavers and artisans to promote their products, find markets and share knowledge.
Compared to previous years, the MANITEX 2025 saw significant improvement and success, he said.
16 international buyers attended the expo.
Four buyers placed orders for products worth Rs 4.90 crore, Bajpai said.
The expo this year had a total of 100 stalls including 2 run by internally displaced persons.
These stalls recorded transactions worth over Rs 1.12 crore, he said.
Further, the food court opened at the expo generated around Rs 5 lakh, he added.
MANITEX is one the best platforms to promote handloom and textiles products and support the State's weavers and artisans.
Organising the expo regularly would enhance the economy of the State, Bajpai said.
Handloom and Textiles Director Elangbam Jeeten said the MANITEX 2025 recorded more number of visitors than in previous editions.
On an average, the daily footfall at the expo was around 10,000 .
While four international firms/buyers signed MoUs worth Rs 4.90 crore during the expo, five more buyers who couldn't attend the expo have shown interest in signing MoUs virtually, Jeeten said.
The Director appreciated all stakeholders including the public, weavers, artisans and officials of the various departments for their support in organising the expo.
Designers, models who took part in a fashion show and stall owners were given certificates.
Best stall awards were also distributed.
