Braving the merciless scorching heat, students and staff of Paree Imom Sindam Sang, Langjing staged a sit-in-demonstration today at Iroisemba Chingjin protesting the kidnapping of their schoolmate Angom Langamba alias Abungo alias Bange (11) and his friend Yengkhom Naobi (13) of Iroisemba Lourembam Leikai.

The protestors held placards that read Protect the lives of students, Let Langamba meet us, Children are innocent; Release Langamba immediately and Stop trafficking of children.
The sit-in which started from 12.30 pm also demanded immediate release of the two innocent boys unhurt.
According to a teacher, Langamba is a brilliant boy, and topped the class in the last annual exam.
She also appealed the concerned to free the innocent boys.
Langamba is the only child of his parents, she added.
One kid, Yengkhom Bandana, who is a classmate and neighbour of Langamba also pleaded the kidnappers with tearful eyes to release his friend unhurt.
Meanwhile, volunteers of Iroisemba Apunba Meira Paibee Lup and Iroisemba Youth Development Club also staged sit-in-protest defying the kidnapping at Iroisemba Community Hall.
Meira Paibee president Oinam Premila said that the protest will continue till the release of the two boys.
Terming that the kidnapping was unfortunate, Manipur Alliance for Child Rights and Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) in seperate press statements appealed the concerned to free the kids immediately.
