Symposiums on protecting wetlands held

Imphal, January 24 2025: Modern College Environmental Club and IQAC, under the sponsorship of Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, organised a daylong college level symposium under the UN theme of World Wetlands Day-2025 'Protecting Wetlands for our common future' on Friday.

In a release, Modern College principal Prof N Romabati Devi informed that the symposium held at the Botany Department Seed Technology Room was attended by five participants out of who a student of the college has been nominated to participate in the upcoming state level Symposium competition to be held under the same theme on January 28 at the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Porompat.

Similarly, Environment Club of Manipur College along with Directorate of Environment and Climate Change and the College jointly organised one day college level symposium competition on 'Protecting wetlands for our own common future' at the college.
