Imphal, October 19 2024: Manipur, Legal Aid Club Project 'G' organised a legal awareness programme on 'POCSO Act, JJ Act and Basic Child Rights' at Areca School, North AOC on Saturday.

The programme was attended by MASLSA project consultant Rk Sujata; Imphal East Women PS SI Rk Babina Devi; All Manipur Bar Association & MASLSA panel advocate vice president Brahmacharimayum Supriya; Areca School principal Khanghemmeiru Gangmei and PROJECT "G" Board Committee, Longjam Samson as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Legal Aid Club Project "G" senior member Yenkhom Wangthoi said that various incidents are occurring in Manipur every other day, especially with regard to crimes against children.

"As such, the programme was organised with the objective of spreading awareness on how and when to avail the help of the law," he stated, while informing that similar programmes will be organised in the future.

The programme was organised under the sponsorship of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) .
