Sathoulup to confer award on Kamal Toijamba

Imphal, April 13 2025: Sahitya Thoupang Lup (Sathoulup) will confer Heisnam Basantakumar Award2025 on writer Kamal Toijamba on Work Book Day, April 23 .

The award ceremony will be held at Manipur Press Club.

The award carries a citation, a shawl and cash prize of Rs 10,000.Joint Chief Electoral officer, Manipur, Ramananda Nongmeikapam and Manipur Legislative Assembly Joint Director Bimol Lambamayum will attend the event as chief guest and president respectively, said Sathoulup in a statement.

As a part of the award ceremony, a programme titled "Young Poets Meet" for young writers, chaired by renowned writer Thoudam Netrajit, will also be organised, it said.
