Imphal, November 15 2024: Assam Rifles on Wednesday organised a wreath-laying ceremony to honour colonel Viplav Tripathi and five other soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in an ambush in general area S Sehken on November 13, 2021.According to PRO IGAR (S), the ceremony took place at Phundrei Battalion Headquarter, where officers and all ranks paid their respects to the fallen heroes by laying wreaths.

Similarly, Assam Rifles conducted a wreath laying ceremony in Tengnoupal on Wednesday to pay tribute to rifleman Soorya Nath Ram, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a fire fight in Jammu and Kashmir's Kabchirwan area on November 13, 1995.Assam Rifles also organised a wreath laying ceremony at Mantripukhri to honour rifleman Jai Prakash Oraon (Shaurya Chakra) of 4 Assam Rifles' who made supreme sacrifice for the nation on November 15, 2017 at Sikhli Mor (Chamol-Sajik Tampak) .
