IPAK forms job card holders' committee

Imphal, September 12 2021:
Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) on September 9 formed the Arong Khunou MGNREGA Job Card Welfare Committee for the welfare of job card holders of Arong Khunou village as well as distributed medicines supplied by Directorate of AYUSH for protection against Covid-19 to the people.
In a release, IPAK secretary general Leishangthem Romen Meetei stated that as a part ofits initiative to form district and state level committees and-associations of MGNREGA job card holders, the organisation held a meeting with Arong Khunou village job card holders on September 9 which led to formation of Arong Khunou MGNREGA Job Card Welfare Committee and elected Y Rajen as its convener.
The organisation also distributed medicines provided by Directorate of AYUSH for protection against Covid-19 such as 'Arsenium Album' to around 3000 people at Tera in Imphal West district, Kiyamgei in Imphal East district and in some areas of Thoubal and Kakching districts on Sunday, it added.
