MNYO holds discourse programme

Manipur Naga Youth Organisation, Headquarters (MNYO-HQ) organised a one day Discourse Programme on "Powers and Functions of Village Authority, and the Exigencies and the Challenges of Manipur Tribal" at Makhan Village community hall, Kangpokpi district on Thursday.
In a release, MNYO Publicity & Media Cell informed that the event sponsored by Manipur State Commission for the Scheduled Tribes (MSCST) was attended by more than 100 people from eight villages of the area including chiefs and chairmen of village authorities, village authority members, churches leaders, youths, students and women society, Liangmai Naga Council Eastern Zone, Naga People Organisation, Kangpokpi and other social organisations.
The meeting's opening prayer was invoked by Makhan Baptist Church pastor reverend Wizunang Marenmai with keynote address and welcome speech delivered by MNYO president Athot Keitang.
MNYO also mentioned that MSCST IT chairman and senior advocate Daniel Ramsan and retired associate professor Wungshim Angkang were resource persons of the discourse.
