RNSOM appeals for state-wide holiday

Imphal, June 01 2025: Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) has appealed to the Governor and the chief secretary to declare immediate state-wide holiday in all government offices including educational institutions except emergency department or services.

In a release, RNSOM general secretary Jeanthui Panmei stated that the continuous heavy rainfall, rapid rise of water level in the valley, flood, mudslide, landslide and storm in the hills district are posing serious threats to public safety.

RNSOM also urged the Governor and chief secretary to provide all necessary assistance immediately for the affected students and general public, and also advised all concerned to take all necessary safety precautions and strictly follow all governments advisory/in-struction.
