Two-day workshop concludes

As a part of Naya Chet-ana 2.0 programme and campaign against gender-based violence, the two-day workshop on sensitization and discussion of gender based violence organised by The Ideal Teachers' Training Academy (ITTA) Sajiwa held at its multipurpose hall concluded on Thursday.
The inaugural programme held on Wednesday was attended by ERC-NCTE executive member and De^n of Education MU Prof Premlata, ITTA governing body cum principal in-charge Dr Yengkokpam Ranjan and Integrated Rural Development Service Organisation (IRDSO), Wangjing director Nonibala Narengbam as dais members and discussed on important matters relating to gender sensitisation.
On the second day, students and teachers of the academy made presentation along with discussion on several topics such as 'Working class people are more vulnerable to gender based violence', 'Gender & emotional stereotypes', 'Human trafficking', "Genderissues in Manipur politics', 'Discrimination of transgender in our society', 'Victimisation of man by woman s right', 'Forced abortion and sterilization', 'Female genital mutilation' and 'Honour killing' .
