ACTSUI holds career orientation, cultural meet

Imphal, April 29 2025:
A legal awareness programme and Career Orientation cum Cultural Meet 2025, themed "Roots to Wings: Embracing Heritage, Aspiring for Excellence" was organised by All Colleges Tribal Students' Union, Imphal (ACTSUI) at the DMC Commerce multipurpose hall on Tuesday.
Speaking as the chief guest, additional director general of police (ADGP) Dr IK Muivah stressed that as Manipur is home to diverse communities, regular interaction is crucial to foster mutual understanding and respect.

"Such engagement not only promotes cooperation but also helps build stronger social harmony," he noted, while underscoring the need for more inter-community interaction programmes across the state.
IK Muivah also noted that the event organised by ACTSUI is a significant initiative for the student community and expressed hope that it would encourage greater dialogue and collaboration among students, while also contributing positively to society.
Students play a vital role in preserving and promoting their cultural heritage, he added.
The function was also attended by Tribal Affairs & Hills' director Hannah Kamei and Customs SP Thilu Lanamai as presidium members.
