Food processing training concludes

The seven-day food processing training organised by Self-Employed Workers Council (SEWC) concluded at the hall of Epathoukok Institute of Art & Culture, Lamphelpat, here, on Wednesday.
During the valedictory function, SEWC chief functionary Chongtham Mohindro said that the food processing training, the second such programme organised by the Council, had 50 trainees made acquainted on preserving fruits and vegetables for a long time and converting the preserved items into profitable items.
Officials of NABARD and National Small-Scale Industry7 also shared their expertise to the trainees on FSSAI and Udhyam registration necessary for opening food production unit and on how to get financial assistance from the government for opening food processing unit, Mohindro added.
Later, trainees were handed over certificates with six of them also encouraged by presenting prizes.
