Bakery workshop for women organised

Imphal, June 19 2024: The Indian Army organised a day-long workshop for 29 women of Leimakhong and Premnagar villages of Imphal West district.

The workshop, organised on the request of t he villagers, included practical demonstration and hands-on learning of various bakery items for daily use as well as for augmenting the skills of those generating income by selling bakery products in the local market.

The participants gained an understanding of the need of maintaining hygiene in baking, as well as packaging and preserving of baked products.

At the end of the workshop, the participants received booklets with recipes for their future use.

Lamothang Lhouvum, chief of Leimakhong village, visited during the workshop and expressed his gratitude to the Army for accepting the request and organising the workshop, according to PRO Defence.
