Aashwashan Campaign launched

A 100-day Covid and TB Active Case Finding Campaign 'Aashwashan' taken up in tribal blocks of 100 tribal districts of India under the Tribal Health Programme 'Anamaya' of Piramal Swasthya Management and Research Institute-Hyderabad was launched in Chandel district on Friday.
The campaign organised by the Hyderabad institute in collaboration with chief medical officer (CMO), Chandel under the supervision of United States Agency International Development (USAID) and National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme was flagged off jointly by CMO Dr Serthani Serbum and state TB officer-NTEP Dr Thangpa Serto from Hnatham village in the presence of district TB officer Dr Koko Saka, State TB Cell ACSM K Deben, District TB Cell STS W Ratan, Piramal Swasthya Management and Research Institute zonal leader Dr Kushal Kumar Sahu, district coordinator Chandel Ng Vikram Moyon and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Thangpa stressed on the importance to have Active Case Finding to eliminate TB disease from the country.
A training programme in relation to the campaign was also conducted at District TB Office, Chandel.
