ABVP Bishnupur honours top students, promotes green initiative

Imphal, July 12 2025:
Bishnupur district unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) marked National Students' Day and the organisation's 77th Foundation Day with a Best Student Award Ceremony and a Plant Donation Drive.
The event held at Bishnupur was attended by MLA and former minister of education Basanta Kumar Singh as chief guest, and Bishnupur DC Pooja Elangbam as guest of honour.
ABVP national secretary Kamlesh Singh also delivered a speech.
A total of 132 meritorious students from 43 schools in the district were felicitated for achieving the highest marks in the Class 12 examinations.
They were presented with certificates, mementos, and words of encouragement.
Furthering its commitment to environmental responsibility, ABVP distributed saplings to awardees and guests as part of a Plant Donation Drive, promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
The plantation drive highlighted the vital role of students in education, nation-building, and conservation.
It was attended by school teachers, guardians, students, and ABVP karyakartas from across the district.
The event was also marked by a collective pledge to work for student welfare, educational reform, and a sustainable society.
