'Tashi Mapao, Khangminnashi Eikhoi' resumes

Kakching, July 29 2025: 'Tashi Mapao, Khangminnasi Eikhoi', a monthly programme dedicated to senior citizens and held on the last Sunday every month, resumed after a brief hiatus at Irabot Park, here, on Sunday.

Organised by Jana Neta Ningshing Lup, Kakching in association with Voice of Kakch -ing, Maku Media, Kakching Foundation and IACT-Kakching, the event featured discussion on the topic "Kakchingda Photography" led by local photographer Moirangthem Joykumar, who forayed into the profession of photography in 1964, set up own studio in Kakching in 1971 and has showcased numerous photographs highlighting the history and cultural heritage of Kakching.

The programme was hosted by Surjit Kshetrimayum, president of Jana Neta Ningshing Lup Kakching.

According to Surjit, 'Tashi Mapao, Khangminnasi Eikhoi' programme was first conducted on the last Sunday of January 2016 .

However, it had to be put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing unrest situation in the state.
