AR holds ex-servicemen rally at Maram

Senapati, June 14 2024: In an event held at its Maram Garrison, Assam Rifles organised a Mega Ex-servicemen Rally on Friday which drew participation from over 700 ex-servicemen and Veer Naris from Senapati and Kangpokpi districts.

The rally aimed to honour the contributions of these brave individuals and address their grievances.

The commander of Jwalamukhi Sector Assam Rifles presided over the event and felicitated the gallantry awardees and Veer Naris.

In a gesture of support and appreciation, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, spectacles and various gifts were also distributed.

A key feature of the rally was the establishment of a Grievances Redressal Cell which included representatives from HQ DGAR, Army Record Branch; ECHS, civil administration, police officers and representatives from SBI and HDFC bank.

Additionally, a medical camp with specialist doctors and a CSD facility were set up for providing essential healthcare and support services to the attendees.
