Kotiswar meets Guv, feted at RKM

Imphal, July 28 2024: Newly appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Nongmeikapam Kotiswar Singh called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here on Sunday.

Justice N Kotiswar is the first Supreme Court judge from Manipur.

The Governor congratulated and commended him on his outstanding work and extended her best wishes for his new role, emphasising the importance of his appointment for the state.

The Governor also encouraged Justice N Kotiswar to continue his efforts to support and uplift the people of Manipur, informed a statement issued by PRO Raj Bhavan.

On the other-hand, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Manipur felicitated N Kotiswar Singh at an event held at its Babupara premises, here on Sunday afternoon.

The event was organised jointly by Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia Alumni and Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Manipur.

Justice N Kotiswar is an alumnus of the Purulia Vidyapith.

The event saw the presence of Swami Devapriyananda Maharaj and other monks from the Ramakrishna Mission, Manipur.

Several dignitaries from across the state also attended the programme to pay their respects to the SC judge.
