Imphal, February 11 2025:
BJP must be held accountable if Manipur is placed under the President's Rule (PR) after the party fails to project a new leader in the wake of resignation of chief minister N Biren Singh, stated Shiv Sena Manipur president M Tombi.
Speaking to The People's Chronicle over the phone on Tuesday, M Tombi expressed concern that there is high probability of imposing PR in Manipur due to constitutional crisis if the BJP cannot stake claim to form a new government in the wake of resignation of N Biren from CM post.
"If BJP fails to appoint a new leader and form a new government within 48 hours, PR has to come and BJP must be held accountable for the same," he reiterated, adding that the unrest situation will only aggravate in case PR is imposed in the state.
According to M Tombi, as the tactics of Kuki narco-terrorists are endless a popular government has to counter such diabolic agenda failing peace and development would remain elusive in the state.
As such, BJP must find a new dynamic leader who could save Manipur, stressed the Shiv Sena state leader.
