Thoubal College begins induction prog for freshers

Thoubal, July 07 2025: A three-day Student Induction Programme for newly admitted BA and BSc first-semester students commenced on Monday at the multipurpose hall of Thoubal College.

The inaugural function of the induction programme was attended by College principal professor A Nabachandra, Thoubal College Teachers' Association president N Ibobi and English Department head Dr K Tejrani Devi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

S Janendra, who is coordinator of the New Education Policy (NEP), Thoubal College, delivered the keynote address and extended a warm welcome to the new students.

Faculty members from various departments also shared valuable insights during the session.

As part of the programme, the newly enrolled students were given a guided tour of the campus, including the fitness centre, library, swimming pool, basketball court and the Jubilee Hall.

The second day of the programme will feature an interactive session between the new students, their seniors and faculty members, followed by a talent show in the evening session.

On the third and final day, departmental level induction sessions will be held to help students familiarise themselves with their respective disciplines.
