Unrelated with arrested man: Koireng led UNLF

The proscribed Koireng led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) clarified that the organisation and its armed wing Manipur People's Army (MPA) are unrelated with Seram Inaoba Singh, who was arrested by a team of Manipur police on May 29 on charges of extortion in the name of the organisation.
According to a UNLF statement issued by publicity secretary M Shak-Hen, a social media post from Manipur polite claimed the arrest of Seram Inaoba Singh alias Khaba alias Bagaoba, 46, of Ishok Maning Ching presently residing at Nambol Thiyam Awang Leikai, Bishnupur district.
The statement also noted that the extortion charge against Inaoba was made specifically to malign the image of the organisation.
On the other hand, the UNLF informed the public that any monetary donations made in the name of the organisation will bear the signature of finance secretary M Munan.
The organisation then appealed to the public not to entertain any monetary donations that do not have the signature of M Munan or are solicited through a phone call or a written note.
