Imphal, August 28 2022: 'Yotshabi Makhong Ahum', a book penned by Sobita Mongjam along with an audio CD cassette, titled 'Panthougi Ingkhol Ngan-na-Lei' was released in a function organised by Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur at the hall of Manipur Dramatic Union, Yaiskul here on Sunday.

The function was attended by Nambol Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Chingakham Basanta, Progressive Writers' Association vice president Rajkumari Nirmala, patron member Wahengbam Hemabati and Social and Cultural activist Rakesh Naorem as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Naorem commented on singers deliberately forgetting to mention the name of the lyricist of the song, which is a sign of clear disrespect.

While stressing that young singers must show due respect to their seniors, he reminded that as lyricists play an important role in writing good songs healthy relationships among the lyricists, singers, composers and musicians is essential to produce good songs.
