AT units conduct locality clean-up drives

Imphal, July 28 2024: Different units of Arambai Tenggol (AT) conducted clean-up drives in their respective jurisdictions on Sunday during which the volunteers de-clogged drains and collected wastes from roadsides and public places.

Regarding the social service camp, a commander of Unit-19 told media persons that Arambai Tenggol was not established to defend Manipur as and when adversary elements pose threat to the people but also to help people in emergency situation and preserve socio-religious practices and activities of the Meetei community.

In view of the recent flood, the clean-up drive was conducted to prevent possible spread of water-borne diseases and keep the surroundings neat and clean, the commander informed.

On the other hand, Arambai Tenggol Unit-18 (Uripok) led by commander Kherson Thoudam conducted cleanliness drive along the Uripok-Kangchup road from Cheirap Court area till Iroisemba on Sunday.

Different units of Arambai Tenggol also conducted similar drives in their respective jurisdictions on Sunday.
