Full-dress rehearsal for 76th R-Day held in Ccpur

In preparation for the 76th Republic Day-2025 celebrations, Churachandpur district administration held a full-dress rehearsal on Friday at the Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur.
Churachandpur superintendent of police Shaikh Mohd Zaib Zakir unfurled the national flag and took the salute from 24 participating contingents, including CRPF, 129 Bn CRPF, IRB (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Platoons), Civil Police (male and female units), Assam Rifles Band Party, and various educational institutions such as Rayburn High School, Churachandpur College, Bethany Christian College, NCC, and JNV Tuinom.
Marching contingents from Rengkai Higher Secondary Government School, Vimala Raina Government High School, and JNV Tuinom (both boys and girls) were also present for the rehearsal.
The parade was commanded by Kunal Uttam Shrote, IPS (probationer), who will be the parade commander during the Republic Day celebrations.
Officials from district Administration, DLOs, and other dignitaries of the district attended the event.
As chief guest of the Republic Day event on January 26 deputy commissioner Dharun Kumar S will unfurl the national flag, take salute from the march-past contingents and address the public.
Following the ceremonial proceedings, the deputy commissioner will inspect stalls set up by various government departments, after which a cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony will take place.
