Children's Day celebrated in districts

Khuga Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) on Tuesday conducted an interactive session with school children followed by distribution of sweets at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Churachandpur to mark the Children's Day and birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Khuga Battalion personnel interacted with around 2000 students of the Secondary School wherein all the children were motivated to pursue their education even in times of adversities and adopt a culture of excelling in sports which will certainly bring a peaceful and depend -able environment.
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram has wished displaced children staying in various relief camps on the occasion of Children's Day On the other hand, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra distributed edibles and stationery items to children staying in the relief camp set up at Lamding Higher Secondary School, Thoubal district on Tuesday on the occasion of Children's Day and 134th birth anniversary of first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The distribution programme was also attended by MPCC general secretary, vice president, Thoubal District Congress Committee president, secretary and Congress workers.
