DBC (A) Maram conducts "Economic Outreach cum Awareness Programme"

Maram, April 13 2025: The Department of Economics, Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, in collaboration with MKSU, organized a one-day Economic Outreach and Awareness Program under the theme: "Do unto others what you want them to do unto you" at Maram Khullen, Maramei Namdi village today.

A team of 40 enthusiastic Economics students actively participated in the initiative and engaged meaningfully with the 123 students from classes 2 to 10 of Maram Khullen.

A quiz competition was also conducted, and students were awarded prizes for each correct answer, encouraging participation and learning.

The program was blessed by Hingba Felix, Local Catechist of St Peter Church, Maram Khullen, whose presence and words added immense value to the event.

Following the interaction, shoes and clothes were distributed to the students, who received them joyfully before heading back home.

In addition to the student outreach, the team visited 30 elderly and underprivileged homes, where they donated essential items such as dal, sugar, milk, and more.

The students also raised awareness on cleanliness and the importance of financial literacy.

The villagers expressed their appreciation and extended wholehearted support, making the program a meaningful and impactful experience for everyone involved.
