AMUCO, MSF teams evacuate flood-hit residents

Imphal, June 01 2025: A joint team of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) and Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) assisted in evacuating flood-affected residents from localities in and around the Porompat TV Tower on Sunday.

The area has been severely impacted by due to overflowing and breach of banks of the Imphal River at several points, flooding a large part of the vicinity.

AMUCO general secretary Pratap Leishangthem, secretary (publicity) Heisnam Phorel, MSF president H Roshan and general secretary Sundar led the relief efforts in the said area which is among the worst hit localities.

According to a statement of AMUCO, volunteers of Imphal East district units of both organisations are on high alert to respond to any emergency situation.

It also appealed to the public to be vigilant and extend all possible assistance.
